How awarded works

Anyone can launch a coin on pump.fun through awarded and name a redditor. The coin is a normal pump.fun coin; the only difference is who the creator fees are for. Every trade pays a creator fee, and awarded converts that fee into Reddit Gold awarded to one of the named redditor’s posts. Gold is real money inside Reddit: the Contributor Program pays it out to a bank account.

The creator never connects a wallet, never logs into awarded, and never holds a token. If they do nothing, the Gold still lands.

1. Type a Reddit username or paste a profile link. It is normalised to u/name.
2. Name the coin, pick a ticker, add an image (resized in your browser to keep the upload small).
3. Optionally add a first buy of up to 10 SOL so you are the first holder.
4. Sign. The image and metadata are pinned through pump.fun’s IPFS endpoint, then create_v2 runs with you as creator, and a second transaction calls pump.fun’s fee program — createFeeSharingConfig + updateFeeShares — to hand 100% of creator rewards to the awarded fee account. A first buy is a third transaction. Create and fee share cannot share one transaction: together they exceed Solana’s 1232-byte limit.

The server verifies your signed bytes before relaying them — fee payer, mint, program, signer set, and that the fee-share names the awarded fee account as the only shareholder at 100% — and only lists the coin once the create has confirmed on-chain.

pump.fun pays creator fees to whoever its fee-sharing config names. Every awarded launch creates that config and sets a single shareholder — the awarded fee account — at 100%, using pump.fun’s own fee program. This is the same record pump.fun’s coin page displays under creator rewards, so what pump.fun shows and what the chain does agree. The mapping from mint to redditor lives in awarded’s database and is shown on every coin page.

The coin page reads the bonding curve and the fee-sharing config from chain and checks the fee account is the only shareholder.

Can it change?

pump.fun locks the shares once set — neither the launcher nor the redditor can move them afterwards.

Hourly, awarded collects what settled in the fee account, prices it in USD at that moment and credits the redditor’s balance. Once a balance reaches $1.99 — the price of one Gold — an award is queued and sent to one of their recent posts from the u/awardedapp account.

Reddit has no gifting API, so awards are sent by hand and each one is marked on its receipt with the post it landed on. The Gold then sits in the redditor’s Contributor balance; Reddit pays it out once it passes $10.00.

Every figure on the site is quoted at the Top Contributor rate and every receipt prints Reddit’s cut plainly. We do not round Gold up.

Two kinds print. A Gold receipt for every award (Gold count, what the creator keeps, Reddit’s cut, the post it landed on). A milestone receipt every $20.00 of creator fees a redditor has generated, so the lifetime figure has a paper trail even between awards.
